The BTD8-82-V2-VT3 is part of Night Owl’s BTD (HD) DVR line, which uses BNC (coax) cabling. The 20-Channel Wired 1080p 1TB DVR you mentioned is also a BNC DVR, so it should be compatible with your existing BTD cameras, as long as they are 1080p or lower resolution and use analog (AHD, TVI, or CVI) video formats. Q: QuestionWill this work with the cameras that I currently have installed and wired to older Nightowl XHD system? If not, how can I get the current XHD app to work on my new tablet, which has newer version of Android (14) than my old tablet which works fine.

Any model of ours that includes FTD2, FTD4, FTD8 will work for your needs. 2 way audio will not work as those cameras do not have required components but otherwise you should be set. Hope this helps. Q: QuestionI have a 1080 system. I can load up to 10 cameras. However, I only see 4 recording at any time no matter if it is set on continuous or events. Does it have the capability to actually record 10 or is it a pick and choose of 4 only at any given time?

If you are referring to what is visible on screen at any given time you will want to determine how you order the cameras as the view on one screen would be very small. Q: QuestionI have a Samsung 16 Channel 1080p HD Security System with 2 TB Hard Drive bought in 2016 along with 10 cameras. The cameras are hard wired through the wall coming out and connecting to the DVR. Will my connections fit this system?

Unfortunately we cannot speak to the quality of components that are not ours, but should the cables not work this system will include cabling you could use as a backup plan. We understand how painful that is to replace so we would hope for the best though. You also might check on the return policy of this retailer to try the new recorder and replace 1 cam with your existing cabling to see if all works.
