QuestionI'M CONFUSED !!! AHD7-841 packaging indicates "720p resolution" (1280×720) but when I contacted Night Owl tech support concerning a TV/monitor, I was informed I needed 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×1204, 1440×900 or 1920×1080 I bought a TV w/ 1920×1080 (????)

- Answer Dear Customer, I apologize for the misunderstanding about our product technical specifications. The cameras that this bundle includes are all 720p High Definition Cameras, meaning you will be able to record at 720 resolution, the video output ( video to your monitor) will be compatible with 1024x768, 1280x1204, 1440x900, and up to 1920x1080p the latter will be your Monitor resolution. Questioni understand that it use the internet and WiFi ,but let say that power goes out (witch happen a lot around here )will the entire system goes out or has some internal battery that can still record for a while?? thank you

- Answer Dear customer, UInfortunately your system does not have an internal battery backup. this unit will not be able to keep recording without power. Best regards.

QuestionI'm interested in one of your 4 camera systems although I only want to use 2 of the cameras. I understand that each camera comes with a 60 foot cable. My question is: Can I plug one of the cables directly into another to make a 120 cable length?

QuestionI intend to buy this secutity system for my home. I don't know what I have to do if the internal HDD is full. It's too expensive to replace the HDD every two weeks!

- Answer That is correct. You can back up your recordings to a separate drive by plugging an external drive into the USB port on the device. QuestionI just got this and I'm installing it. Is there any other way other than a phone that I can make an audible noise when somebody comes in the view of the camera. I am hooking it up to a laptop.

- Answer Dear customer. Our audio enabled cameras, which are sold separately. will only allow you to record audio at the camera's location. these cameras are not two- way audio enabled. Best Regards.

- Answer The remote viewing feature through your smart device will require for you to have an Internet connection. However, if you do not wish to remote view your cameras you are not required to have Internet connection to record locally on your DVR Unit. Best regards

QuestionDoes the motion detection work reliably enough (without unwanted motion detection), that it makes the e-mail alert system viable without a lot of false alarms? I tried another brand and insects or day-to-night transition would trigger alerts.

- Answer No motion detection will work as you are wanting. Think about it. If there is motion it is going to trigger no matter what it is. No matter what brand etc. It is the nature of the beast.
