- Answer There aren't multiple HDMI ports to run to separate TVs so I ran the HDMI cable from the DVR to an HDMI 4 Way splitter. So I have mine playing on 4 TVs throughout my house. Then you just have to go to the main TV where the DVR box is at if you need to get into the settings at all or go through your camera feeds. This route seemed to be simplest for me.

QuestionFor outside installation, do the cameras need to be covered and near an outlet to function properly?

- Answer Good afternoon, While the cameras are all-weather rated, we strongly suggest having a Camera AC power adapter at cameras located at distances farther than 60 ft in length. but if you are using the cable length provided with your DVR, you can power the cameras from the DVR location. since every 60ft BNC cable come with two leads one for Video and one for Power. - Answer Yes, after a fashion. There are infrared LEDs around the camera lenses that say would give you visibility for 100' (or 150' depending on the camera). The cameras shipped with this unit are pretty good in pitch black conditions but you only have a small area that would be illuminated. It's best if you have an infrared light outside or reflective surface about 10 feet from the camera to spread the light, or if there are street lights to add some lighting to the scene. There are cameras with double the IR LEDs around the lense, but they tend to be very expensive. It would be more cost effective to put an infrared bulb in an outdoor light fixture if you were going to go that route.

QuestionLooking at this Night Owl to set up at my home. Need 3-4 cameras and the recorder unit. Does it come with everything I will need? (cables, etc) Also, how do you view what it records?

- Answer Yes, this comes wtih everything you will need. You can watch the recordings via a monitor that is attach to the DVR

QuestionI know that if I had gotten my night owl from online from am actual store, it would have came with the remote, but I didn't and it didn't come with a remote or a mouse. I have an extra mouse laying around but can i use dvr without remote?

- Answer No. This particular DVR can not connect wireless because it does not have wifi capability. I connect it with the internet using the lan connection, it has better connectivity and more secure in my opinion. To connect wireless, it is imperative that the DVR has wifi capability.
