A:AnswerGet the 1080 cameras- huge difference.
The pkg I got is- 1 TB DVR / 4 cameras (8 slots) / internet viewable system is about $300 for all that, and expands to 8 cameras. I own it. Plug and play. I also called the place I bought from and got help with the IP internet stuff. Easy peasy.
Now I watch all day on my celly, my desktops, and I can rewind and view 6 days of recorded time from 4 cameras. Our bad neighbors are knuckleheads and spend a lot of time in jails so... Awesome camera system to the rescue.
I also see where cats are cruising my property and I can choose to feed them or block their entrance.
Gets some cat5 cable and place your DVR anywhere. They are not on your LAN, it's wired.
Photo shows cameras on porch.

A:AnswerGood Afternoon,
Night Owl does not believe in charging its customers monthly service fees. Our system, remote viewing applications and remote viewing software are all free of monthly or hidden fees.
Thanks for choosing Night Owl.
A:AnswerYes as long as you have the system connected to the internet. I'm able to check my cameras from work and was really nice is if you have notifications on you get an alert on your phone when it detects movement
A:AnswerGood Afternoon. No, the cameras included with your system are not water proof (meaning they cannot be submerged under water). However, all Night Owl cameras are weather proof (meaning they can withstand dirt debris and jets of water). If you will be placing your cameras outside, Night Owl strongly recommends placing them under an eave or awning to maximize their life span. If you leave them too exposed to the elements, they will only last a short time. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.
A:AnswerYou plug the cameras in the DVR, and the DVR connects to a router. Also, yes, you can connect it to any router, as long as you have internet access going to it, you should be able to access the cameras remotely via phone app / desktop app.
A:Answeryes, there are two options for viewing the cameras this way: VGA and HDMI. As long as you have a TV / Monitor with one of those connections, you should be able to view them via live feed, access menus, etc.
A:AnswerNo. Unfortunately our HD cameras are only compatible with our AHD DVRs. If you choose to upgrade your F6 DVR to an AHD DVR, you will be able to use both HD cameras and your older analog cameras. Please see this link to be directed to a 16 Channel AHD DVR on our webstore.
