Chris I just purchased this system and yes it is compatible with all smart phone. I personally had a few problems with set up but customer service was very helpful and solved my problems.

Currently our systems are compatible with Apple and Android smart devices. Simply connect the camera to the AHD DVR, download the Night Owl HD App from the Apple or Google Play Store and then use Owl Scan to configure the app. Please view the following links for more info on Night Owl HD App and Owl Scan.
