Yes, just get a back up battery. They might run ya around 50 to 100 bucks. It is worth it, but if the power goes out, don't expect everything to run for very long unless you spend a lot of money on the back up battery. They are great to have on all your network equipment though. I highly recommend one dedicated to your camera system. The battery will only kick on if no AC power is going to the unit.
