You need the WiFi in order to view on your phone or it won't be able to send the signal out for the phone to pick up. The image is stored in the DVR and can be played back on the phone or from the DVR. You will need a monitor to view from the DVR.

In order to remotely view your system, you must manually connect an Ethernet cable from your modem/router to the DVR, so, unfortunately, you won't be able to use your cellular data. When remote viewing, you are able to view live footage and previously recording footage. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.
