- Answer You would have to use a wireless extender that you are able to plug an ethernet cable from the DVR to the extender.

- Answer The cameras do not have built-in microphones, however, you may purchase up to 2 Night Owl Microphones to connect to the DVR. This will allow you to record audio on two separate cameras. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.

QuestionCan I set this to continually record or only when motion is detected? I can watch live stream anytime?

- Answer Yes, depending on the work schedule I set mine with continuous 3 days (72 hours) and the other 4 days are motion only. Each camera can be set to continuous or motion only within a 24 hour timeframe by selecting the hour of the day with option of recording. Mine is not hooked to wi fi. I monitor at the site only.

The connection from your DVR to a router, through an Ethernet Cat5 Cable, is so you may monitor your system remotely from your smart device. QuestionAre the cameras waterproof or "water resistant"?

- Answer The Night Owl camera is weatherproof, but it will not work when submerged in water. Ensure that all power and video connections are not directly exposed to water and are protected from the elements. When installing the cameras, do not place the camera where rain or snow will hit the lens directly nor should the camera be placed so that the sun or bright light shines directly into the lens. - Answer Good Afternoon, this Night Owl system is PTZ camera compatible. You may have a total of 8 cameras connected to this Night Owl system, however, its only compatible with a single PTZ camera. Regarding the Night Owl Application, you may view and record from your smart device, however, the application does not have the ability of operating the PTZ features. We do not guarantee third-party compatibility when it comes to accessories or devices. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.
