  • Questionhow far from the wifi can you go without losing connection..

    • Answer Thank you for the question and happy to try and help. Our Wi-Fi based cameras are dependent on several factors for signal strength and distance. With clear line of site our cameras can be positioned up to 300 ft from our tested Wi-Fi hubs. Weaker signal and objects in the path drastically reduce this distance. Denser obstructions like stone or brick sizably reduce the ability of any wi-fi signal to connect at distance. Our best practice is to ensure you understand the return policy of the retailer you are buying from and then test the item in the proper timeframe for return if it doesn't work.   • QuestionDoes this camera record 24 hours continuously? If so, do I need another accessory or is the microSD sufficient?

    • Answer No, it would not record 24 hours continuously. It has options to record at 20 and 60sec intervals. The microSD card I used was 16gb (14.7 installed) and used only 1.5gb in a week's time with over 300 notifications/recordings of about 20-60sec each.

  • QuestionHow long does the approx battery last

    • Answer Ultimately depends on your usages. If you have the spotlight and audo siren/alerts on for every recording and set to the max timing of 60 second recordings, the battery could last up to two weeks. Otherwise, without those the battery should last up to 3 months. It only comes with 2 Lithium, and additional can be ordered on the Night Owl website for $25.

  • QuestionI want to use indoor. I want no holes in my walls. How do you install this exactly?

Our cameras are wall mounted but we are aware of some customers attaching to wood blocks and then using double-sided tape to mount without holes.
