WHAT IS THE DIAMETER SIZE FOR A D3100 UV FILTER? null

The filter size depends on the lens you're using. If you look on the bottom (underneath) of the lens, you'll see a description that starts off something like: "SWM Aspherical . . ." At he end of the description, there should be a symbol that looks like a circle with a line through it and a number following. That number is the filter size needed for that lens.
