“How easy is it to clean? I've gone through several "nice" coffee makers over the years. Unfortunately a few had to be sent back because it was a very complicated process of just dumping out old grounds. "More than just dumping a basket out" sometimes removing three parts. I love my other Ninja products but I am curious to how easy is it to clean? Thanks”

The container to hold the coffee grounds does come out easily and can be washed out. We did find that using the wire basket allowed coffee grounds to go into the coffee so we switched to paper filters which also allows for easier cleaning of the outer basket.

Purchase a box of #4 paper filters and it becomes very easy to use and especially to clean!! Catch each side of the paper filter between thumb and forefinger, left out and drop in the waste basket, rinse the basket out, dry and your done!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine came with a permanent filter, but I do not use it. I use a #2 paper filter. Once I finish brewing my coffee I merely open up the coffee compartment and pull out thefilter and throw it away. That easy that simple it's done. Periodically I will pull the coffee container all the way out throw away the filter with the grinds in it and then rinse out the container and place it back inti the uniy. That also is very easy and very simple. If you're worried about it being a tedious process to clean and that's what's keeping you from getting this unit I say go ahead and buy it cleaning is simple.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Emptying the provided basket is possible but using paper filters removes the grounds easily. The basket slides out from the front. Part can be placed in the dishwasher along with the carafe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a pull out with a basket inside with a handle you can lift out. It is a metal gold filter so putting ground in there works great. My wife didn't like having the tiny grounds in her coffee so she puts a paper filter in the basket which makes clean up even easier.
