The 3070 will work flawlessly with your current system specs. (P.S. you should've gotten a 10700K if you got a Z490 board.)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Intel Compatible Motherboards only have PCIE 3.0 Slots to put the Ampere Graphics Card in. These new GPUs are meant to be used with PCIE 4.0 Slots bc they are much, much faster. Intel does not have compatibility with PCIE 4.0 this year. So you will have paid a lot of money to use a CPU and Motherboard that only has PCIE 3.0. It will be slower than using a 3000 series Ryzen CPU and Compatible Motherboard. Zen 3 is coming out in a few weeks so pairing that with the new Ampere GPUs will be my choice for now. I suggest you do the same. :)
