Gear vr is garbage compared to the quest. I've used both. The quest has 6 degrees of freedom not 3 like gear vr. I dont miss having to remove my phone from its case all the time to use the vr headset. It's such a smoother and more immersive experience words cant really describe the quest.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have both setups, quest is definitely a better experience
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a completely different ball game I have both and the quest blows the gear vr out of the water
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This compared to gear vr is comparing horse and buggy to a lamborghini. 6 degrees of freedom allows you to move around and is truly immersive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the gear VR is cool and all but this is real portable VR with controllers and main stream titles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For sure. This setup provides 9 degrees of freedom so you not only can outlook around, but you can walk around a scene as well as having full hand tracking. This makes games like Beat Saber and Superhot VR really fun to play. It's basically a PC style VR experience but with no wires and simplified graphics. That said, the library of available apps is a little thin at the moment so it may be worth holding off for a few months to see what is released for the device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Of course! Oculus quest has it's own android platform built in. Plus it has proximity sensors that work better than the ones on your phone.
