QuestionThe Olympus DS-40 was recommended to me but it is discontinued. Will this model be an equal substitute?I need a digital recorder that can be downloaded to my computer and have a high degree of clarity in a large room with multiple speakers.

- Answer I suggest looking at the DM-420, this was a more direct replacement. Although the WS-700M is an excellent recorder.

QuestionThis digital voice recorder was recommended to me. If we bought this, how would we handle transcription?

- Answer This recorder can be used with a AS-2400 Transcription Kit. I also suggest looking at the Olympus dictation recorders like the DS-2400.
