Computer Memory is picky and needs to be matched. It appears that this PC is running DDR4 2133Mhz. You will need to find memory to match this, the problem being it may not work with the existing 8Gb stick that comes pre-installed with the computer. Different brands do not always work with each other even when they are built to the same specifications. It might be worth a shot to try but the only sure way is to find what RAM is supported by the motherboard and to purchase 2 sticks to install while replacing the factory installed. It appears this machine only has 2 slots for RAM. So you could look for two 8 or two 16 Gb stick of RAM to install.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this can run GTA 5. No you can not buy any type of ram.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So I bought this pc about a week ago. Everything I read stated that it is only compatible with 2133mhz ddr4 ram. I took a chance and bought a 16gb corsair vengeance 2400mhz kit from best buy. Popped it into my machine and it works flawlessly.

For 4K ultrawide, or multi-monitor setups the 3GB 1060 will bottleneck to playable at closer to mid level settings but again if you're only looking to run 1080p this is a great machine. RAM: The RAM can be any brand, but has to be the spec that fits the motherboard, which in this system is the Odense2-K motherboard from HP. This board has 2 slots for DDR4 RAM, one of which is taken up by the included 8GB. It can be upgraded to a max of 16GB DDR4-2400 RAM (the 2133 spec on this page is incorrect), and I would advise if you were to upgrade to buy a 2x8GB kit so that the speed and timings match; but it won't be immediately necessary as I haven't yet had too much trouble with just 8GB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Be advised you CANNOT purchase 16gb sticks for this machine. It will only accept two 8gb sticks for a max of 16gb.
