Hi, as long as the receiver is on the same network as the laptop you should be able to access the music on your Onkyo via DNLA server, if you require assistance getting this to work please give us a call at 800-229-1687 as our Product Support Reps are here 24/7 ready to assist, thanks, JT

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The only way I was able to connect my laptop was via the HDMI output on my laptop to the HDMI PC input on this receiver. You'll just need a HDMI cable. It works just fine this way. The receiver would have to have a Router or a "hot spot" functionality in order to connect wirelessly.
