“I have the Tx-SR373 and Samsung UN49KU6500F curved Smart tv. I cannot find a way to turn the receiver on/off with either the Samsung remote nor the Verizon remote. I tried turning the TV on/off with the Onkyo remote, but no luck. How can i do this?”

You can’t with this model you have to get the higher end model then you should be able to turn it off n on with a tv remote or cable remote. Sr 373 onkyo is the lowest model of onkyo receivers n does not have much options to it. So look into a 676 or higher model from onkyo n you should have better luck on what you can do with the receiver n it’s options. Hope this helps.
