QuestionCan I just connect Zone-2 RCA to my self-powered monitor speakers? And they are my main 2-ch stereo speakers and have only TRS(Balanced) inputs. I just want to set up this receiver as main living room audio system and just control volume by it.

- Answer You can use either/or. Screw terminals for bare wires & banana jacks for wires terminated in banana plugs.

QuestionI use a soundbar with my tv. I have 2 speakers in my bedroom, & another 2 speakers on my patio. Can I have sound come through my soundbar while watching tv & have the speakers on in my bedroom but off on the patio? Vice versa? All speakers on?

QuestionCan I connect speakers of any brand to this Onkyo system? Or do I have to use Onkyo brand speakers only? Also, will I also have to purchase an amplifier system to connect speakers? I am shooting for a CD/ Bluetooth system that I can connect speakers also

- Answer You can use any brand speaker with this receiver, and you do not need an additional amplifier as this receiver has a built in amplifier. Just connect your speakers via the red/black terminals on the back, and connect your CD player via RCA/Optical/Coax (whichever connection your CD player has) and follow the setup instructions. You'll be all set.

QuestionSo I’ve only had 1 receiver before, a pioneer vsx-43 that I replaced with this Onkyo. On the pioneer I just used the auto surround setting and the avr would automatically change its output to whatever signal it was getting. I don’t see this option?

- Answer I am using this receiver with an LG 70" 4k TV utilizing the Digital Audio output (receiver has 2) and it works great the only issue I had was getting my harmony remote to change the input on the amp took a few tries to get that right.
