No, it does not. This is only protection for the back, although the side edges are raised enough to protect the edges. However, if you would drop your phone and the screen took a direct hit, this would not protect it.

No but it provides excellent coverage and protection. It is very strong and sturdy. However, Check out ZAGG Invisible Shield Glass Covers for screen protection for tablets. Not certain if they make them for all tablets but they are great.
