Is it a hard plastic case or a rubber one? null

It’s two layers, with both hard plastic and rubber areas. The back is hard plastic and front ridge/bumper is rubber.

It is really neither. The back of the case seems to be some sort of material like a hard plastic; but it is something else, of higher quality than actual plastic, possibly, a plastic mixture. And the sides of the case, well... they seem to be a mix of rubber and some other material. All I can tell you, is the material used for the case is not the cheap stuff some cases are made of. It is definitely a nice quality case. And, I have been buying cases for iPhones, ever since the very first iPhone hit the market. Therefore, I have owned every single iPhone model that has been on the market, to date, So, I have definitely been through numerous... iPhone cases, and I can tell the difference between a high quality case and poor quality case for an iPhone.

It is hard plastic but it has good thickness to it. Hard plastic does make removing and putting it on a little more difficult than soft shell. I’ve dropped it once on concrete and it protected my iPhone X.

IT IS THE RUBBER TYPE CASE, NOT HARD TYPE, EASY ON/OFF

Hard plastic back, rubber front/around edges.

Hard plastic back, rubberized rim around sides.

Hard plastic back, pretty stiff rubbery/plastic sides to pop the phone into.

Combination, outer case is hard, but soft rubber around the phone.
