• I'm not black but I do have coarse hair, I tend to wear blades out at least twice as fast as the manufacturer states it will last. I've been using it for a few months and it does good with no face irritation, close shave ( girlfriend approved, unlike every other electric razor I've had), I like the cleaning station which is supposed to lubricate the blades. Read my review for more information. Hope this helps.
