Hi Bob, This device can be stored in -4°~158°F and can operate under 14°~149°F. Yes. Yes. The dash cam turns on/off automatically as you turn on/off your car. But, it has a small internal battery that reserves some power, so that when your car is off, it can record small videos when it detects motion or a bump.
