Your mouse should be connected via USB, not HDMI. This will be the case whether it's wireless or wired, unless you choose to use a Bluetooth mouse, in which case no port is required. If the credit card machine really does use HDMI, you can use one of the open HDMI ports for that (typically the HDMI ports will be used for extra monitors, but if you don't have to connect two monitors then you will have at least one HDMI port free). This computer has 2 HDMI ports and 4 USB ports for your convenience.
