I don't think you need to flip it upside down. If I recall correctly it can tilt both directions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not recommend it. If you did I would recommend setting it to where you wanted it and have it welded permanently. In order to keep it tight enough to keep from wiggling you would probably crush the pipe and ruin the mount.
