“How does it resume play when turned off if there is no internal battery? I've seen differing answers. Most people said the player has to be plugged in to work, whether AC adapter in wall plug or car adapter in car. However, they all say the player resumes the movie where it left off when the player is turned off - great feature. Does the player have to be plugged in to work, or does it hold an internal charge after being plugged in to power for a while and then unplugged? Thank you.”

It doesn't have to be plugged in to work, it has to be charged with the AC adapter for like... 5 hours for the internal battery to work. (It says this in the instructions) I watched a movie on a plane without it being plugged in. There IS an internal battery.
