- Answer Yes Mike there is an external speaker outlet port. It uses a portable speaker that has it's own power source. The audio outlet port uses a 3.5mm sized jack which just about all portable mini speakers come with. I purchased a rechargeable mini speaker right after I bought my Philips 9" portable DVD/DC player. The built in speakers are terrible. But now...WOW!!!!! Just make sure that whatever mini speaker you choose, make sure that is comes with the charger and the 3.5mm jack. Some do not come with the charger. But if you don't need a lot of power for just a few bucks online you can buy an external speaker that uses three AAA batteries that also works just fine. I have both. I just prefer the speaker that is rechargeable. You have so much more blasting power and true sound.

- Answer You need a Composite to VGA converter. The video output of this product is composite and does not feature any other ports.

- Answer I don't believe so. I don't remember reading anything in the owners manual where the Philips is Bluetooth compatible. It has it's own tiny built in speakers, or you can connect external speakers using a 3.5mm cable jack.

QuestionRegular TV?Does this DVD player also work when hooked up to your tv? Also does it play music only CDs? If not do you know of a portable DVD player that does? I will be taking care of my mom in hospice and would like to get one of these because she has no tv at her home at the same time i do not have a dvd player at my home so would like to get one that i could use at home with my tv after im done taking care of her.Thank you for your time.

- Answer Yes, you can hook it up to a TV that has an AV output port and comes with a small (5" or so) cable with RCA end. You would need to purchase an additional cable with RCA Male end to whatever type of port your TV has for an input. Yes, it will play music only CDs. I think this device will work for you with a couple additional, minor purchases of accessories. Good luck.

- Answer There is a port for a regular headset that connects with a 3.5mm cable jack set of headphones. No Bluetooth.
