• I have the 2nd Generation Hue Bridge, and I can control both the light strip and bulbs.

• Yes you can assuming you have the second generation bridge (squarish... almost identical in shape as an Apple TV. If you have the first generation bridge (which I believe was round) you will quickly run into limitations as the newer lights are second generation
