• We have this light on the same hub as our other hue lights but it can be programmed separately, if I am understanding your question correctly. For example, we call ours "Hue to go" and we can turn it on/off, change colors, programs, etc., just as we do with all other lights.

• The Go doesn't actually require a hub, since it has a button on the unit and several built in scenes. However, you would need the hub if you wanted to control the light from your phone.

• A hub is not required for it to work, but you are limited to the preset options without it.
