It does work with Echo, but there's a cooler app that is better for the hue. It's called Cube AI for Hue. You can speak normally instead of having to be exact about what you say. You can tell it to set the lights to 70% brightness or tell it to dim the lights

Yes I does. But you cannot change the color it’s the echo.

Can use it to turn on and off but can't change color directly, need to go thru IFTTT, which works with Echo, works good and is easy to use.

It does. "TURN ON HUE GO" with tap just turned it on.

Yes. You need to add it to your Smart Devices profile in the Alexa app. Note, you can't just say "Alexa, make the room blue". You need to setup scenes if you want to have multiple colors available. On and off work immediately.
