A:AnswerI have a Roku connected and just use the Roku remote to operate it. The Sync app only controls what source it is showing at the time and Mode/Intensity of the lights. It doesn't control that source.
A:AnswerThe cable box should run thru the receiver. The out HDMI that runs to the tv should run into the Sync box HDMI PORT 1. Then the out/tv from the Sync box runs to the tv. You do not have to change the optical cable.

A:AnswerTo operate your Sync Box, you need to have a 2nd Generation Hue Hub. If lights are compatible with that hub, they can be expected to work with the Sync Box.
A:AnswerYes. I set them up using an iPhone 10 XS Max. Like you, I do not use Windows 10. I use a Mac. The Hue Color bars set up perfectly using the iPhone.
