Q: QuestionDoes Phillips make an outside spot light for the Hue System
Asked by Crossblade.
- A:Answer As of May 2018, not currently. Phillips is supposedly introducing a line of Hue lights designed for outdoors this summer, but it doesn't appear in any product lists for sale yet. There *will* be a garden spot called Lily sold in packages of 3 with accessories to connect to your outdoor lighting system, as well as a path light called Calla. Should be able to find more information on Phillips web site.

Q: QuestionI have a ceiling light above the fireplace and a pendant in the nook beside it. Both lights are controlled by the same switch. Can I use a hue light in the pendant but not the overhead? Or do I need a hue in both?
Asked by Mary.
- A:Answer You can configure the bulbs in any way you would like. The only issue is that they use the same switch, so in order to turn off your overhead light you would need to physically flip the switch. This becomes a problem because the HUE light bulb in the pendant needs to be switched to the on position at all times in order for the HUE app / HUE bridge to be able to control that light. This can be remedied by either getting another HUE bulb or by taking the extra step of going into your app to turn off the pendant each time you want to turn on the overhead independently.
