    • Answer If you currently have a 2 din radio will fit with proper installation kit, wiring harness (for new radio to your mfg wiring harness). Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a 30 minute appointment with Best Buy installer (Geek Squad), will give you opportunity for you and installer to discuss your expectations and installer will go over what can and can't be done. Example, can install a USB plug neatly on dash (keeps USB cable from hanging out of dashboard to a flush mount USB plug). Again if you currently have a two DIN radio this Panasonic head unit will fit. Really nice radio, enjoy mine daily.

    • Answer Yes for sure. I have a buddy that installed it himself in his 2016 Ram 1500 and also in my 2009 Scion Tc. Of course you would need to purchase a Metra radio wiring harness for your specific vehicle, easy to find on Amazon for real cheap. Only thing i think he had an issue installing which he figured out with an adaptor of some sort, was the backup camera

    • Answer If you currently have a 2 DIN RADIO it WILL FIT with proper installation kit, wiring harness, etc.. Double check with Geek Squad Installer about JBL audio to make sure wiring harness compatibility. I have BOSE SYSTEM in my truck and it required required wiring harness that address my tweeters, in short make sure wiring harness they sell is for 6 speakers, 8 speakers, etc...

  • QuestionI can't seem to see the screen during the day. Is there any way to fix the lighting on the screen, so I can see what the screen says during the day?

    • Answer I would suspect your vehicle has daytime running lights and the orange/white wire is getting a false signal. Go into the Dimmer Settings and change it to Manual. This way, you can manually turn the dimmer on/off or set it to a Timer, so it changes based on the time you set.

    • Answer If it is completely blacked out, it may have a problem. Press the reset button on the bottom right corner. If the screen is still completely blacked out and you cannot get a menu to appear, there may be an internal issue. Please contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1. They will provide troubleshooting assistance.

  • QuestionI have a Nissan Rogue, with Intelligent Around View Monitor, which is basically a 360 view. Is that possible with this receiver?

    • Answer No. The all around view for your vehicle is not supported by the Pioneer DMH-1500NEX. It may be possible with the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX or the Pioneer DMH-W7600NEX with the use of idatalink Maestro RR2 interface. Please talk to a Best Buy sales associate for installation details.

    • Answer No. The Pioneer DMH-1500NEX does not include any disc player, CD/DVD. If you are looking for a video screen with a CD player please consider the Pioneer AVH-2550NEX, or the Pioneer AVH-521EX.

    • Answer The Pioneer AVH-1500NEX is too tall to fit into your 1997 Jeep wrangler for a normal installation. Please consider the Pioneer DEH-S4220BT, or Pioneer DEH-S6220BS. Both of these receivers will require the use of a proper dash installation kit and wiring kit. Please remember your vehicle speakers are 25 years old and need to be replaced. Please consider Pioneer TS-A463R speakers. Be sure to talk to a Best Buy sales associate for detailed installation information.

  • QuestionI am seeing the customer pics that this unit is compatible with similar model/year ford f150 truck but the tool says its not. Any input? I havea 2013 f150 xlt. no oem screen just base radio with bluetooth and steering wheel controls. Thanks in advance.

    • Answer I recommend to stop into a Best Buy store and talk to a sales associate for installation details. The Pioneer DMH-1500NEX may not fit because of it's depth. However, please consider the Pioneer DMH-4660NEX. It's a shallow mount that will fit great with the use of a proper dash installation kit and wiring kit. The Pioneer DMH-W2770NEX will also work great.

    • Answer The Pioneer VREC-DZ700DC has a mini-plug video output from the primary camera that can be connected to the Pioneer DMH-1500NEX AUX audio/video input jack for video playback. However, please note, the Pioneer VREC-DZ700DC is designed as a stand alone camera and does not require the use of a Pioneer in-dash receiver for operation. Even if you have the video output connected to a Pioneer receiver, there will be no controls on the receiver that operate the dash camera in any manner. Additionally, the Pioneer VREC-DZ700DC has a free app for your iPhone or Android Phone that allows wireless transfer of video content from the dash cam to the phone for playback at any time.
