A:Answer I doubt it will "improve" picture quality but I am not an expert. I use this to "pass-through" 4K to my TV from my XBOX One and other devices and it does just fine. I think if you talk to the experts they always say the less hardware (like this) between your source and destination the better. Meaning that everything you add in the middle can only make it worse not better, so that is why I say this does not likely make it better, just does a good job of not making it worse. For me however, I do not plug everything directly into the TV so I need the pass through capabilities, using the stereo like a switch between devices.
