Dolby Atmos is a audio format that currently is only on 4k discs, no blu-ray discs. The LED on the Pioneer likely responds to a display button on the remote and when pressed will then show the audio format that is playing, which would be DTS or DTS-HD depending on your blu-ray player audio settings.
