An update to my own question, for anyone interested. The earpiece won't connect to two MEDIA devices. It will connect his tablet media, but then the phone's connection is phone calls only - not media. If he tries to connect media from the phone, the tablet media disconnects. This is the biggest problem we were trying to solve, so he can be listening to podcasts (media) on his tablet, and still have phone reminders and text alerts (also MEDIA) - not just phone CALLS - go to the bluetooth rather than play out loud. This device does NOT solve that problem as it can only connect media to one device at a time.
