Yes you can hear both . Game Sound and chat

Please try again later.Loogie, when I received my head set I plugged it into my Xbox 1 controller and made sure that the jack was all the way in and they work splendidly. lower the boom mic and you can be heard loud and clear while gaming. I hear the game play, and all players who are mic-ed.

If you are not getting any game audio please ensure your Xbox One and Xbox One controller's firmware are up to date and try opening your Xbox One's settings and ensure the game and chat audio balance is set towards the middle or try increasing it towards game audio.
