What is the range/distance of the system? How far away from the computer will the streaming wireless speakers work?

Our System is on the same level in our house, sends through 4 rooms a total of 60' using the SONOS Boost with no drops perfect streaming.

Distance depends on the strength of your WI-FI signal. If your phone or laptop works on WI-FI where you want to put it...SONOS will receive the signal.

I can take it anywhere in the house and outside on the patio - about 80 feet from the Router/bridge and I control the program with an iPhone.

Mine has worked at distances of up to 50 feet through walls in the house with no problems. Haven't yet tried it in the backyard.

Don't know for sure but my laptop is 20 feet away most times and works flawlessly.

They will work any distance from your computer within your house as long as the speakers and your computer (or better yet, your phone or tablet) are connected to the same WIFI. I have even come home, but accessed my system from the car to turn on the speakers from the driveway without entering the house. This isn't especially practical, but its fun to mess with someone who is already home and doesn't know anyone else is there yet.

My speaker is 20 feet away from the transmitter. 30 feet was too far.

I was surprised at how far away my phone could be once I had it connected to the play 5. I would say if I am anywhere upstairs in my house which has several bedrooms it will stay connected.

Well, my husband answered his fone, left it on charge in the bedroom and had only the beats pill in another room talking to the person on his fone.
I don't kno any other device that can do that
