I converted the drive to an external drive with use of a case and I haven't had any trouble using this for storage with a Mac.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will. Even if this drive is thinner than the original hard drive, the mounting screws in the MBP will hold it in place very well, without the need for the foam spacer that comes with the SSD. You might need an external USB-to-SATA adapter to do the drive copy, if you're going to clone the original drive to the SSD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should work fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works well in my mid 2011 Macbook.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I know that sounds too simple, but it actually will work. I am assuming you have a rotational drive, but either way, yes. I went from a rotational drive in my Mid 2010 MacBook Pro and now you couldn't make me get a new MacBook. Performance goes through the roof. Boot time in mine is like 14 seconds from the apple on screen to using it. That includes a bit of startup programs also. Great drive for the Apple laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A macbook pro should support this drive. Not sure which connection it has SATA2 or SATA3 though. It will be very fast though, much faster than a spindle drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes absolutely.
