• It will work on Linux, Windows, Mac OS & Ubuntu; as well as android 4.4+ as far as I have experienced. However, you may need to reformat the memory (SD card) to allow your device to communicate. Whether that be fat32 or NTFS will depend on your system requirements. To keep it simple u may download paragon on ur Mac OS, to insure your ability to use. Please keep in mind reformatting may restrict your ability to use across multiple devices.

• click on the file that you want to save on flash drive should not require anything else

• most definitely. I'm sure it could be formatted to work with any common system, but it worked with my Mac right out of the package.
