• It should be, i dont see why it wouldnt. You can use for Xbox as well but it must be formatted (erase all contents) and then it can only be used for xbox, unless you format again and then you can use for PC but only one system at a time.

• You have to reformat it, but yes...I bought this so I could upgrade my PS3 hard drive and did the back up on it.

• Yes you can do that with this drive. Just make sure that you reformat the USB drive to ExFat before attempting to connect it to your PS3 or PS4.

• Since all flash drives are pretty much the same - even though some work better than others, why not grab any old flash drive you have available (even if it is too small) and see if your PS3 will write to it. If it will, then the drive you ask about will probably do so as well.

• It should be able too. Just format it with FAT32.
