• Yes it does. I have it setup as a HTPC and it ports audio thru HDMI.

• Most Video card do. I know that my 970 does it when it wants to.

• An audio utility installs with the driver to enable sound via HDMI output. To use external speakers just plug into TV's headphone jack.
