QuestionWe had a power outage. My printer is not getting power to it. I have changed the place where it was plugged in, it still is not getting power. There is no light on in the front, but there is a small green light on in the back. It is an HP Envy 7640.

- Answer Hi Shirley. Thanks for reaching out about this. The printer should be okay if it was plugged into a surge protector. If it was just plugged into the wall, go ahead and unplug the printer from power, hold down the power button on the printer itself for about 30 seconds, plug it back into the wall and press the power button again. This should help it reboot. If nothing comes online, the printer might have been fried unfortunately. Please let us know if you need further troubleshooting or have questions!

QuestionI was on the phone for 40 min. today with a Geek Squad agent trying to get my HP printer to work. The problem wasn't resolved. I do have the protection plan and would like to have in home service. That's why I purchased the plan. Can you help?

QuestionHave a hp1310 printer connected to my CPU. It has stopped printing. Nothing in queue. Do I have to reset and how to reset printer. Am not computer savvy.

- Answer Hi Kaley. Thanks for reaching out to us for this! That's totally okay. I'm sorry you're running into issues. Sometimes printers just need a little jumpstart. A good place to begin is unplugging the printer from power and letting it sit for 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and try it again. This will do what's called a soft reset and wipe the queue as a bonus. If this doesn't work, the printer may need to be "removed" from the computer's options and re-added. These two steps will fix most printer issues. If it still persists, it could be a software or hardware issue. I hope this helps. Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance.
