This unit folds open and closed smoothly without play. The lower bracket is to be positioned 1 7/16 (4 cm) inches above the floor over the wall studs that are spaced 16-24 inches apart. This will give enough space that the rack will not drag across the floor surface.
When installing, you will need a wall surface at least 8 feet high and 6 feet wide. The upper bracket would be positioned about 76 ⅜ inches (194 cm) above the floor.
