QuestionHow many speakers can be hooked up I have five plus a sub woofer.

- Answer 5 speakers can be connected as long as the woofer is self amplified. By that, I mean the woofer should have it's own amplifier built in. The woofer has it's own connection on the back of the receiver outside of the four channels which makes 5 connections. You'll need a single wire rca cable to connect it. Heads up on a subwoofer that's a 150 watts and priced for around $150 made by Sony that Best Buy sells. It's a perfect match and sounds magnificent. My son has this set up for his P4 gaming console and that thing is a live party in a box. He plays with online players and his friends and he is so happy with this setup. Oh and not to mention, his headset with the built in microphone. He is in business. Once gaming is over, he can play movies on his console and utilize the surround sound the receiver has. It's so cool.

QuestionCan I connect a turntable and also a CD/DVD player to this? Also, my speakers have stripped-wire ends. Can I use them with this or will I need to have a different connector?

- Answer Yes you can. I added 4 speakers and a turntable. I added a cd player. I had to buy a pre phono amplifier to plug my record player in the pre amp and then into the reciever. It sound excellent.

Questiondoes this 300 watt 4 channel have actual STEREO even in fm mode? looks like everybody is trying to pull a fast one and eliminate stereo for some reason. All of the pyle and others say fm radio, not fm stereo. I want to hear a left and right difference.
