Thanks for the question. Your Quicken subscription purchase from Best Buy will get you the latest release of Quicken, automatic updates for a year, and connections to your bank accounts for a year. When your subscription comes due after a year, renewing your subscription will continue the automatic updates and connections to your financial institutions. If you don't renew after a year, you'd be able to continue using Quicken manually, but the supported automatic updates and bank connections won't continue. Your data is always YOURS and you can use Quicken however you feel comfortable, but consider the automatic updates and new features as you decide to renew. Thanks.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was initially hesitant to jump to the Quicken subscription. Unfortunately, it's the way of the software world. I used to repurchase and install Quicken every other year. With subscriptions you are forced to renew your subscription every year. That being said, updates and new features roll out rapidly and Quicken quickly deals with bug issues. Instead of purchasing automatic updates directly from Quicken, I wait for sales from Best Buy or Costco to save money on the yearly subscription. All you do is enter the new subscription code into your on-line Quicken account and you are good to go for another year. The new subscription doesn't start until the day the previous one expires.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a subscription for the software. I don't know what would happen if you let that lapse. I would think you could continue to use it since you don't download your banking data.
