Actually, it will make a big difference between 4K and Full HD screens regarding music production. If you're working with VST's, that is. Most DAW's are scalable and will still look okay, but the problem comes in when you use most VST's. Most will not be able to be scaled. Like Nexus or Spire for example. The buttons to browse for banks, or change settings in the menus are so tiny that I had to put the screen near my face to see what I was selecting. What happens is you have a DAW that's easily viewable, but your instrument settings are extremely small due to the 4K. There's a workaround. You can go to the settings in your laptop and change the font settings, but even then, it may not look right still. To me the "workaround" was annoying, because if I changed the font, then opened Chrome to go search something, it was so blown up, it just looked ridiculous. So, with the 4K touchscreen, you have a beautiful screen, but you'll need to tweak with the Windows settings to make some instruments look right, or you can go with the Full HD screen, no touch, but have less headaches on working on your music on the go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Resolution will not matter a much a the built in Dolby functionality since one is video based and the other is audio based. For laptops, this would work very well music production but would always recommend external acoustics for playback and fft analyzing. On the resolution side, since asked, With a 14" screen, some music applications like fl studio may seem crouded, but you have 1hdmi for easy external display connections where 1920 x 1080 would work best without the need for extra adaptation. And a thunderbolt also. It may not have the bolt on the side of the port, making it appear as a usb-c, but it's an official thunderbolt. connection, so you could essentially go 4k with this, just not sure of the exact process.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Neither will affect the music you make, but 4k can fit more tracks on a screen at the same time for you to see.
