This does not require a motherboard ARGB header, this plugs into a USB 2.0 header on the motherboard and uses a molex to barrel plug adapter for power which is included. Depending on the hub your fans use this may or may not work, this is designed to replace most argb hubs with its own software. it will only control the lights, not the fan speeds. If your fans need a hub to control their speeds, it should accept a signal from this, but this will only power the lights, not the fans themselves

You will have two cables to hook up - one to a Molex connection for power, one to a USB header for lighting control.

It hooks up to a USB Header on the Mobo for control, and is powered by a Molex end from the power supply.

It uses a usb 2.0 header on your motherboard. The power it is molex. Then in the razer software you can configure each of the 6 argb connections on the controller. You dont need a argb header on your motherboard to use this.

You do not need an ARGB or RGB header but you will need a free 9-pin USB header. This draws power directly from your power supply unit via the provided Molex connector.

No you don't need an ARB header. It's connects to molex power supply and you will need an empty usb header on your mobo. The usb is what let's Razer synapse software communicate with the controller and power comes from molex connected to power supply is what powers it.
