“We bought new fridge and had icemaker installed but didn't realize we needed a stainless steel waterline. Delivery said he could not hook up existing "old" water line (tube) because it wasn't stainless. Can we buy kit and install ourselves?”

You can hook up to the old waterline and that isn't true that it needs to be stainless, mine are copper and it works great. The serviceman didn't want to do their job that they were sent to do and you were told that they would do.

Delivery and so-called installation man refused to change line. Beyond angry that this wasn’t communicated in the two plus months that I have been waiting for fridge to be delivered.

As for installing it yourself, it depends on how handy you are with plumbing. I couldnt do it, but when I purchased my frig, I was told I needed that part. Good luck.
