A:Answer 1. I have several units of 3 types. If you are going to charge it up and then throw it in a drawer, forget it. These things need to be used.
2. Most instructions tell you to charge the device fully immediately, via the charger and cord.
3. I have been dealing with batteries and solar chargers since the late 1980s. Those little solar arrays are not going to do much.
4. My favorite unit is a larger 20,000mia thing I take on cycle rides of the pedal type. It recharges my bike lights and will recharge my phone. As we know, Navigation apps are battery hogs, plus I am running my Under Armor app recording my ride.
5. To get the most out of these things, charge them, run them down by use, then charge them again, but use them!
