The sound balancing feature only works if you use the optical cable -that is NOT included. The "dongle" with the USB cord that you plug into your PC also has an optical audio port. The mixer game/chat audio dial on the headphones blends these two sources. Many people will only use the USB connection so there is nothing to blend. You would leave the dial all the way to one side to hear the one audio source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello! Sound mixing on PC depends on your hardware, it is possible your PC requires the use of an optical cable to separate the chat and game channels. If you continue to experience difficulties, please don't hesitate to contact Plantronics Customer Care at 855-765-7878
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As near as I can tell, this balances the audio between the TOSLINK (optical) input on the USB puck and the audio coming from the USB connection. If you're not using the TOSLINK input, then the switch will basically be useless. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need to use an optical cable from the source to the base station in order to use the chat mixer. I don’t know if you’ve done that yet but it is a requirement. The optical cable is not included with the headset but they’re fairly cheap these days.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you're on a PC or Playstation you need the optical cable for that to work according to the user guide I found on Plantronics website. It was under the RIG 800 LX manual, but included the RIG 800 HD setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you need to be running optical audio into the little receiver box for it to work properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When used with Dolby Supported game, you have to set the game on your gaming device (I use the MSI GS63 Stealth). Selecting the game and then selecting the sounds channels will allow you to have this feature working. It is not easy but it relay on other features that you should have available on your PC. Would work easier if you add the Fiber Optic Channel. That will allow an automatic (hardware level) identification of the channels and make it work out of the box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tested it out in Overwatch and it seemed to work perfectly. I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm using them over Optical, not USB.
